The Mobile Comunidad van is outfitted with StarLink so staff and clients can access free satellite wifi whenever and wherever the van is operating (bookmobile, food pantry distributions, etc.). In addition to regular client access, we have collaborated with our local EMS and the county’s Emergency Management Agency to provide wifi at remote incident command locations (for example, on the fireline during an active wildfire) where internet, wi-fi, and cell phone services are otherwise not available. Because of our collaboration with the food pantry, we can also distribute bottled water and MREs to first responders and community members in need. The Disaster Relief Program is coordinated by Jeanine Bishop. It is funded by food and water donations from our local food pantry
